Information
Description
The work of both reveals a great sensitivity and closeness to their subjects, the fruit of time spent observing, being patient and approaching them…
The aim of a wildlife photographer is to show the animal in all its vitality, its personality sometimes. Just observe. No longer considere the animal as a mere object of description or contemplation.
This approach echoes Paleolithic animal representations. Some are surprisingly realistic, representing the animal in all its vitality and specificity. What approach did prehistoric artists take to the animal world in order to arrive at such a knowledge, which comes under the heading of ethology?
This photographic adventure invites us to embark on an odyssey, an escape from ourselves and an investigation into the world of animals. It’s an escape from ourselves and a narcissistic-free inquiry into our rightful place among beasts.
